Storybook Trail

What is the Storybook Trail?

The Storybook Trail is a creative way for the community to enjoy a family-friendly, accessible trail, while reading an adventure at the same time!

Pages of a children’s book are put on signs and placed along the trail for you to stroll along and read the story, step-by-step and page-by-page. The Library will change the stories with the seasons!

Where is it located?

The Storybook Trail is located at ProHealth Care Park in New Berlin at 2950 S. Sunnyslope Rd.

What story is up now?

Our winter story is a selection of Calvin and Hobbes comics by cartoonist Bill Watterson. This beloved comic strip ran from 1985 to 1995. The strip centers on the adventures and musings of Calvin, a mischievous and imaginative six-year-old boy, and his best friend, Hobbes, a tiger who appears alive and sentient to Calvin but is seen as a stuffed toy by others. Calvin and Hobbes remains widely acclaimed for its clever writing, artistry, and poignant blend of humor and depth, capturing the joys and struggles of childhood while appealing to readers of all ages.
